By popular request through the different social networks of Androidsis, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and even through the You Tube channel Androidsis ADIEX. I have decided to create this step-by-step tutorial, where I explain the correct way to install CM12 on your Android devices.
Although this step-by-step tutorial is logically done with my LG G2 model D802, this process is valid for any type of Android terminal that is in possession of the modified Recovery, in this case the TWRP Recovery which in my opinion is the best recovery we have available for a good number of Android terminals. So you know, if you want to know the process to follow to install CM12 on your Android device, don't miss the video attached to the header of this article, where we flash the latest nightly CM12 Android 5.0 Lollipop in real time.
Requirements to bear in mind
Before we start flashing our Android device to update to Android 5.0 Lollipop using CM12, you must take into account these essential requirements to take into account:
- Have a rooted terminal and in possession of Modified recovery, in this particular case the TWRP Recovery.
- Having a nadroid backup of all our current operating system.
- EFS folder backup.
- Backup of all our applications and data since in the process all will be erased.
- USB debugging enabled from development settings.
- Battery charged 100 × 100.
Files needed to install CM12 on your Android
As I tell you at the beginning of this article, this tutorial is made with my LG G2 international model, although This process is valid for any Android that is included in the official list of devices supported by CM12. As is logical, from the links that I am going to leave below, we will have to download the valid files for our specific terminal model.
We will need the last nightly CM12 that we can download completely free from this same link. At the same time, we must also download the latest Google Gapps for Android 5.0 Lollipop versions, which we will be able to get from this same link.
Once both files have been downloaded and complying strictly with the requirements set forth in the previous point, we will be available to copy without decompressing both ZIP files, in the internal memory of our Android terminal and proceed with the explanations that I explain step by step in the attached video.
Francisco, one question, I don't need the KK baseband ??? My model is D805. Thank you.
