Samsung defends its Exynos 990 tooth and nail, high-performance mobile platform that we see in the Galaxy S20 flagship series released in February.
The South Korean manufacturer has been criticized by a considerable number of users who claim, like tests carried out in various benchmarks such as Geekbench and AnTuTu, that said SoC is less powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 de, especially in the Galaxy S20 series, which is offered in Exynos 990 versions for markets other than the United States, South Korea and China, which are the countries where it is offered with the Snapdragon 865.
In a statement made to SamMobile, the South Korean tech giant ensures that both versions (Exynos and Snapdragon) of its latest high-end smartphones have equal performance, but what has been said does not convince the community of geeks, no matter how much it is repeated.
This is not something from now. Since Samsung has offered its flagships in Exynos and Snapdragon versions, it has been the majority who have claimed thate models with Qualcomm chipsets have higher performance, as well as better autonomy and superior fluidity.
What's more, in a recent development, Change.org served as a platform for a petition that seeks to stop the use of Exynos chipsets by Samsung. With this requirement, a large number of consumers raise their voices so that globally, from now on, future Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series will be offered only with Qualcomm SD processors.
We do not expect the South Korean to comply with this request, to be honest, and more considering the recently released statement that originated after the campaign in Change.org, which began about three weeks ago and has not managed to attract the attention of the firm, apparently, since there has not been a statement from it that refers directly to it.
