One of the most versatile and feature-rich Android customization layers is Xiaomi MIUI, for sure. Both its configurations and aesthetic and interface options are super customizable, which also means that many of the functions they present can be activated or deactivated as desired, and what we are now talking about is the floating notifications, which are those that appear, for example, when we receive a WhatsApp message.
If you don't want a notification to appear every time you receive it from the notification bar, interrupting what you are doing, we will teach you how to deactivate them. The best thing is that you can choose which applications show floating notifications or not.
So you can make an app stop showing floating notifications in MIUI
The first thing we have to do is go to Configuration. Then you have to carry out the following steps that we detail below:
- Look for the box Notifications and click there.
- Press on Floating notifications, which is the option in the middle, between Notifications on the lock screen e Notification icons.
- Subsequently, you will find a list of all the applications installed on the respective Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone with MIUI. These include both system and factory pre-installed and installed ones. In this section you can activate or deactivate the switch next to each app so that it shows or not floating notifications.
