Sony Xperia Home is updated in beta with full integration to Google Now

Home Xperia

Sony is in the doldrums and there are many of us who wonder where that new X series that has been left out of the game to Z in which we found very interesting high-end. Although it is not now capable of launching Android smartphones that fit the needs of many, it continues to launch a very interesting software and we have seen this in the Marshmallow beta with the best ROM that we have seen for an Xperia. It has even been able to release an Android n preview for a non-Nexus device.

Now, Sony has the possibility to distinguish itself from others with the latest version of Xperia Home in its beta full Google Now support. It is the first launcher that has the ability to be the same in features as Google Now Launcher, so we hope that soon other app launchers, such as Nova Launcher, will be able to fully integrate these features such as the voice command «Ok, Google ».

In order to use this launcher, you need to have an Xperia phone (we don't know the exact models). It is an open beta so you can participate in it from this link (at the moment it is not functional, possibly later it will be). You will find a message at the bottom of the screen to confirm your participation in the beta. So you will find the installation of the launcher to be able to try this very interesting new feature.

So when you have the updated launcher active, at activate Google Now in the app settings, you will be able to move the main screen to the left, so that with a swipe you can access Google Now as it happens with the Google launcher. This one has the same look and feel as the Google Now Launcher.

We are left wondering how Sony has been able to have this feature, since third-party launchers don't have the ability to access this option.
