After a while without presenting new jobs, the great cook elitemobile it show us this sensational Rom, a real wonder for our Samsung Galaxy S model GT-I9000 which is still current thanks to the selfless work of cooks such as Elite and forums like HTCmania y xdadevelopers.
The rom in question is called Mako Experience and has Linaro and a lot of settings and aspects of other successful works such as those of Slim, AOKP y Xenon.
Requirements to install the rom
- Samsung Galaxy S model GT-I9000
- Root and modified Recovery.
- Nandroid Backup of your current system.
- Folder Backup EFS just in case.
- USB debugging enabled.
- Fully charged battery.
It is essential to make the backup or nandroid backup from the recovery as well as doing the backup EFS folder If you have not done it yet, this will allow you to recover the terminal to its state immediately prior to the installation of the rom, (in case something goes wrong), or recover the IMEI of our device in case of loss during the flashing process.
Files needed to flash the rom
The files necessary to flash this rom are limited to a compressed file in ZIP format, which once downloaded we must copy into the internal memory of our Samsung Galaxy S model GT-I9000, then we just have to restart in Recovery Mode and follow the steps described here.
Rom flashing method
As always and to avoid any bad flashing of the rom it is recommended that the battery be fully charged and the USB debugging activated from the system settings.
Likewise, a flashing starting from a completely clean installation is highly recommended from the JVU firmware.
- Wipe data factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
- Advanced / wipe dalvik cache
- Go Back
- Mounts and storage and we format cache, data, datadata and system,
- Go back again.
- Install zip from internal sdcard
- choose zip from internal sdcard
- We select the zip of the rom and install it.
- Reboot system now.
With this we will have the fantastic rom Mako Experience installed in our Samsung Galaxy S, now just enter the original rom thread and thank the great elitemobile.

Mae the same thing happened to me, what I did was the following: I did all the normal steps as it comes here in the post when it got stuck in the orange doll, press the volume up + home + power buttons. until it restarted and release the power and keep pressing the volume up and home and thus enter the recovery of mackey once there I reinstalled and it worked I hope it helps you with something! 🙂

The ONLY error that I see as a possible CAUSE of my failures, lags, and APPS crashes (which are not solved with fix permissions) is the following:
When doing the wypes, and after having rooted perfectly with odin bla bla, and hitting "install zip from sd card", the little program begins to install, but five seconds after the ******** **************** installing ******************, wham, it restarts by itself. The red android icon APPEARS: powered by «mackay kernel» and starts to start…. but it never ends starting.
THEN I give it a forced restart with the three buttons volume up, start and shutdown, OK, the RECOVERY comes out again and I don't know what to do. This time the recovery does not start. Fuck. What despair. And so on for years, with expert friends trying to «fix2 the unattainable and I, with my little knowledge, surfing among millions of information-saturated websites ... but I must be skipping a microscopic step because this DOESN'T WORK.
