Meizu has made two of its flagships official for the China market initially under the names of Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro. The difference between the two lies in the screens, the rear cameras, the battery and as a final result, in the price of both.
They arrive after many leaksAfter many months the company announces two terminals with the latest from Qualcomm, it is also supported by Sony when it comes to using the best lenses. They are two devices that arrive to stand up to the latest announced by Xiaomi, Samsung and other manufacturers.
Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro, two high-end at an adjusted price
El Meizu 18 incorporates a 6,2-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution, while the Meizu 18 Pro increases it to 6,7 inches with the same resolution. The refresh rate is 120 Hz in both, with a sampling of 240 Hz, the front glass ends in four curves in both models.
It incorporates the Snapdragon 888 processor from Qualcomm both, the graphics chip is Adreno 660, In the RAM option you have the option to choose between 8 and 12 GB LPDDR5 and 128/256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. There is the possibility of choosing between different versions, the first is 8/128 GB and the second is 12/256 GB.
In the cameras the two models is where they differ, the Meizu 18 bets on a 64 MP Sony main sensor, the second is a 16 megapixel wide angle and the third is an 8 megapixel telephoto with 3x zoom. Meizu 18 Pro installs four cameras, the main one is a 1-megapixel Samsung GN50, the second is a 32 megapixel Ultra wide angle, the third an 8 megapixel telephoto and the fourth a ToF 3D sensor. The selfie camera of Meizu 18 arrives in a hole embedded in the 20 MP screen, while in the 18 Pro it is the same type of 44 MP.
Fast charging batteries
The Meizu 18 has opted for a 4.000 mAh battery, enough to last all day on just one charge, which promises to charge from 0 to 100% in just over half an hour. The fast charge reaches 36W with the USB-C, while it arrives only with the cable and without the plug at least from the beginning.
Meizu 18 Pro increases its battery to 4.500 mAh By having a larger screen, the load will be faster, rising from 0 to 100% in about 27 minutes. The fast charge is 40W, the same as that of Huawei P40 Pro, while it also offers wireless charging at 10W, this does not happen in the Meizu 18 model. It comes with only the USB-C cable.
Connectivity and operating system
The connectivity of both phones is the same, they arrive with a 5G connection thanks to the X60 5G modem, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C for charging the device and NFC. The unlocking will be done through the fingerprint reader under the screen, being programmable once you take it out of the box and it starts working.
The operating system of Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro is the same, Android 11 with the latest updates, the one for the month of January arrives and upgradable to later versions. The cape may be Flyme 9, announced hours before presenting the two phones at an event in Asia.

Availability and prices
El Meizu 18 will arrive in white, blue colors and purple in 8/128 GB versions for a price of CNY 4,399 (579 euros to change), the 8/256 GB for CNY 4,699 (618 euros) and the 12/256 GB cost 4.999 CNY (640 euros).
El Meizu Pro 18 will be available in white, blue and gray colors, the 8/128 GB version costs CNY 4.999 (640 euros), the 8/256 GB version will cost CNY 5.499 (704 euros) and the 12/256 GB version increases to CNY 5.999 (768 euros).
