Epic Games buys Mediatonic, the studio that created Fall Guys

Fall Guys at Epic Games

Epic Games announced a few hours ago the purchase of Tonic Games Group, the parent company of the studio Mediatonic, creator of Fall Guys; that online game that took the cat into the water last summer with dozens of YouTubers having a blast.

As well said Tim Sweeny, CEO of Epic Games, it's no secret they're creating the metaverse and Tonic Games share this same goal and ideal. A study that passes into the hands of the owners of Fortnite and other games, and that lately they are seeing them directly with Apple.

Sweeny claims that because of the creation of this virtual future, they need high-quality creative talent within them who know how to build powerful games, content, and experiences.

Dave Bailey, CEO of Tonic Games Group, in a statement maintains that just as they say, everyone deserves a game that looks like it's made for them. And at Epic, from Bailey's words, it seems like they have the home that was made for them.

Among some of the words that take importance in the subsequent statements of the purchase by Epic Games of Tonic Games Group, we are left with that the future of Fall Guys will not be interrupted by the purchase. And that it will continue to play both on PC and Playstation at the earliest on Nintendo Switch and Xbox.

In fact Mediatonic comments on a blog that the news itself is a great triumph for Fall Guys; so for the part that touches us, hopefully it won't take long for the Android version. And is that since last summer the studio grew from 35 developers to more than 150. And even so there is still a lot to do in Fall Guys; while we will play some other similar games.
