Oddly enough, there are still active terminals such as the first Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, model P1000, one of the first Samsung Tablets with a built-in phone function. As you know, Samsung dumped this impressive terminal, a few years ago in the version of Android 2.3.6 which by the way, even being an original Samsung firmware, it works like the ass.
In the following article I am going to teach you the correct way to update Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 to the latest version of Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which, as you have seen in the attached video, works perfectly.
Requirements to meet
If you want to update the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, model P1000, to Android 4.4.4 KitKat, you just have to meet these few requirements:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 international model P1000.
- Root and modified recovery.
- android backup of the entire system.
- EFS folder backup.
- Fully charged battery.
- USB debugging enabled.
Required files
The files needed to update the Samsung Galaxy Tab. model P1000 to Android 4.4.4 KitKat are limited to only two compressed files in zip format that we must copy as is in the internal memory of the device:
- Download the latest Cyanogenmod 11 nightly for the P1000 model.
- Download the latest Gapps from Google.
Remember how much Google Gapps and last nightly They are the files that we will find at the beginning of the page, that is, the ones that are located at the top.
Once downloaded and copied to the internal memory of the Tab, we will restart in Recovery Mode and we will proceed to follow these instructions to the letter.
Rom installation method
From the modified Recovery we must follow these steps without skipping any:
- Mounts and storage and we format everything except internal and external memory.
- Wipe data factory reset.
- Wipe cache partition.
- Advanced / wipe dalvik cache.
- Go back.
- Install zip from sdcard.
- Choose zip from sdcard.
- We select the zip of the Rom and confirm its installation.
- Choose zip again and select the zip of the Gapps and confirm its installation.
- Reboot system now.
Now you just have to wait patiently for its first restart, I say patiently as it takes a while, although the wait will be worth it since when it restarts you will be able to enjoy Android 4.4.4 on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 P1000 model. All this for a lot and despite Samsung.
