If the South Korean company has one thing, it is that it is an expert in launching different devices in a very short time. If we already see that its timeline is to launch a smartphone per year, now it surprises us with two new smart tablets, the Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus.
It is curious that we see these tablets a few days after the Mobile World Congress this year and that precisely this year the tablets during the congress seemed to have disappeared from the map. When we were surprised by the few tablets that were presented during the congress, we realized that the market for tablets may begin to decline.
This month we have a lot of news related to Samsung, from the first contact of the new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to what could be the first circular smartwatch of the Korean multinational. It is clear that Samsung likes to be in all the possible fields of mobile telephony, from smartphones through wearables and reaching tablets, precisely at this point is where we find two new devices that join the Tab family.
During an event in Russia, Samsung has taken advantage of and announced Tab A and Tab A Plus, mid-range devices with different sizes. The first one has a 8 inch with respect to the 9 inches of the Plus version, although both will have a resolution of 7 x 1024p. Curiously, the first would enter to compete directly against the Google tablet, the Nexus 768 and the iPad Mini since its screen would not be 9: 16 as we were used to, but will have a 4: 3 ratio.
The announcement of these new tablets comes with information in a trickle, since there is no data on what the processor is inside, nor the RAM memory, which has been commented that it can be 2 GB. However, if we know its internal storage and the battery of the smaller sister that will be 16 GB y 4.200 mAh respectively. The Tab A plus could increase its capacity due to its dimensions and equip it with 6.000 mAh. To highlight other features that have been made official with the announcement is the incorporation of two cameras, the rear will be 5 Megapixels and the front 2 MP.
The new Tab A will be available in two colors, blue and gold, under a price that will start from U.S. dollar 300 depending on the storage capacity and the type of connection.
