Several days ago, Honor revealed which phones will get the next version of Google's operating system, which is Android Q. This was announced for all 20 series models from the Chinese manufacturer subsidiary of Huawei, as well as for the Honor 8X and those of the Honor 10 series. Although there is no doubt that this OS will reach these last mentioned phones -regardless of how long it takes to do so-, Honor India has confirmed that they will be worthy of the major update in the future..
This ratification was given by the company itself through Twitter. There he responded to the question of a user who asked for clarification as to whether the Honor 8X would receive the Android Q firmware package. The same thing happened with the Honor 10.
Both the Honor 8X and Honor 10 were launched last year and already have successors: Honor 9X and Honor 20, respectively. Both phones were launched with EMUI 8.x based on Android 8.1 Oreo, but now they have been updated to Android Pie, and it is already known that a second major software update will come later.

The evidence that both phones will get the update to Android Q is the answers to Twitter's questions as to whether both phones will get the update.
Honor 8X and Honor 10 should get the update along with EMUI 10, which should debut with the Mate 30 series later this year. However, the update may not reach both phones until much later.
There are still other devices that Honor has not confirmed will get the Android Q update., like the Honor View 20 and the Honor Play. We will assume that since you have confirmed the update for the Honor 8X and Honor 10, its siblings the Honor 8X Max and Honor Note 10 will also update to Android Q.
