Sony launches a video tutorial to unlock the Xperia bootloader

We already know that Sony is a of the companies that most often help the Android community providing it with AOSP, drivers and even video tutorials like the one you just released from their website and that tries to teach how to unlock an Xperia phone.

The power to unlock the bootloader of a phone opens the doors to install all kinds of custom ROMs, although it must be taken into account that certain functionalities may be lost, such as a decrease in the quality of the photographs taken through the device's camera. Today a video is available to Xperia phone users that shows the steps to be followed in order to unlock the terminal.

Unlocking the bootloader by Sony

Sony Bootloader

Sony is one of the companies that offers support for modding on their phones, to even be in certain forums like XDA or in close relationship with CyanogenMod to contribute what is necessary so that better ROMs can be accessed.

This time he even wants his contribution to be of a higher quality offering detailed instructions to unlock the bootloader of an Xperia phone, which improves what has been seen so far from even launching a tool to flash Sony's default ROM.

A video tutorial always comes in handy

The process is not as easy as it might seem at first, since Sony does not provide a one-click tool that automates everything. The first thing to do is ask Sony for an unlock code, download the Android SDK from Google, and "tinker" a bit with ADB and Fastboot, among other things. It is not an easy thing and from here that Sony advises that it is necessary to follow the steps well to carry out the mission successfully.

Depending on the terminal, when unlocking the bootloader, the quality of some of the functionalities will be reduced such as the quality of the photographs or that the radio signal does not work correctly. Although at least, those who want to delve into the guts of their terminal software will be able to do so with detailed instructions through the video tutorial provided by Sony.

Wow great, that's really cool. They should do the same with the drug, legalize it all as long as the users know what they consume, the abilities and functions that they will improve without explaining the side effects.
