Xiaomi withdraws the Android 10 update for the Mi A2

Xiaomi Mi A2

One of the problems that manufacturers faced every year when launching a new version of Android, was the large number of devices for which Android had to adapt. For a couple of years, this adaptation is much easier thanks to Project Treble.

Thanks to Treble, it is Google itself who is in charge of offering compatibility with manufacturers' hardware, these being the ones who are in charge of adapting their personalization layer. This is where performance problems are often found. The last to suffer is the Xiaomi Mi A2.

If we do a little memory, this is not the first time that Xiaomi has suffered a similar problem with the launch of a new version of Android for any of its terminals. The Xiaomi Mi A1 suffered several problems and update withdrawals when Xiaomi servers launched Android 8 for that terminal. It seems that the problems repeat themselves with this range.

El Xiaomi Mi A2 started receiving Android 10 in its final version a few days ago, via OTA, an update that we can read in XDA Developers is no longer available on all terminals in this range. Apparently the number of errors presented by the terminals that were updated to Android 10 was so high that Xiaomi has been forced to recognize the error by withdrawing the availability of the update.

The problems arising from installing this update were in the continued reboots device, the first sign that something big happens. But also, it was not the only problem since 5 GHz WiFi connection it is also being affected. The bluetooth It has also been affected in other terminals, however, at least its operation is not as erratic as with the WiFi connection.
