This WhatsApp feature is available for those users with Android 10, the latest stable version of the operating system, so if you have a lower version it will not work. The integration is good between the Google software and the popular instant messaging application.
How to automatically change the wallpaper in WhatsApp
In addition to having Android 10, it is necessary to have the latest version of WhatsApp wanting to automatically change the wallpaper. The user must choose between a light background for daylight hours and a dark one for evening hours, a fundamental choice.
To carry out the automatic change with the application you have to perform the following steps:
- Open the WhatsApp application on your Android device
- Open the chat conversation that you want to change the background depending on the time of day
- Click on the three vertical points that it shows you in the upper right part
- Now choose a wallpaper
- Once selected, activate the dark mode on your mobile device in Settings> Display> Dark theme> Activate
- Now choose a background for the dark mode, in this case one with a dark hue
- Finally, deactivate the dark mode in Android 10 in Settings> Display> Dark theme> Disable
The light theme will become active once daylight comes out, while the dark one will start to do it once it gets dark in your city, for example, from approximately 19:00 p.m., the dark tone was activated. Starting at approximately 8:00 am, the other will be activated.
