The manufacturer Samsung from time to time includes quite interesting functions that it does not mention, but that get to be discovered by the community. One of the last is the Moon Mode, a function to use with the camera of Samsung devices with at least one requirement to use it.
Those possessing a smartphone Samsung with One UI 2.5 or One UI 3.0 will be able to activate Moon Mode, one of the extras that will only work when focusing on the satellite. It will give us the option of being able to take good pictures of this satellite, which is the second largest.
What is Moon Mode for?
Moon Mode is one of the options included in the camera application from version One UI 2.5 or higher version and will allow us to capture the best photos of the Moon. For it to work we will have to point towards the Moon and wait for the function to appear.
This new mode is based on a system with AI (Artificial Intelligence) and resembles the astrophotography mode of Google Pixel devices. You will be able to get a lot out of the function with the passage of time and everything will depend on the use that they come to give it.
How to activate Moon Mode
If you have One UI 2.5 or One UI 3.0 on your Samsung phone, you will be able to activate the function and start using it once it is night and you have the Moon within reach. To start using the Moon Mode you have to do the following:
- Launch the camera application of your Samsung device
- Activate AI-based scene detection mode
- Now to the Moon with the main camera, once you do it, it will show you a symbol of blue tone with the half Moon
- Press on the button and click on capture a photo
The quality of the capture is quite good, but It remains to see if in the next updates it happens to have improvements when photographing the satellite. Samsung at the moment has not been mentioned about it and everything after the launch in the month of November.
Moon Mode will only activate if you focus on the Moon, so doing it to another point will not show you the blue icon that shows the image above. If it doesn't work on your device, you may not have access to it until you update to One UI 2.5.
