Twitter renews its interface for Android, iOS and the web

It seems that the social network of the blue bird is going through in recent times a kind of existential crisis that is leading it to introduce numerous and varied changes. And we are not referring only to changes related to the operation of the service itself, but also to changes in the design of its interface, aesthetic changes, and there are already a few.

If you are a regular user of Twitter in its version for Android, iOS, the web, Twitter Lite and even TweetDeck, you are about to run into a surprise and that is that the social network team has announced a visual update that will apply to all versions and that will begin to be deployed during the next days and weeks.

For the moment, we can already assure that it will be a fairly "radical" change. To begin, all Twitter applications are going to release a new typography more refined and with more prominent titles, giving a consistent look to all versions. And in addition, with this renewal will also come the rounded profile photos.

Twitter will also incorporate more intuitive icons to your applications. For example, it turns out that many people thought that the answer icon, which is an arrow turning to the left, meant delete or that it would take them back to a previous page. This answer icon will change to a “speech bubble”.

In addition, if you also use Twitter from an iOS device, and surely many of you do (sorry, we do), you should know that you are finally going to receive some of the improvements that Android users have already enjoyed since the year past, how to show the profile, additional accounts, settings and privacy options in a single, easy-access side navigation menu, with which the app will have a much more orderly appearance. And also, links to articles and websites will open in the Safari viewer without leaving the app, which will make it easier to enter sites where you are already connected.

Finally, both in its version for Android and iOS and in TweetDeck, tweets will be instantly updated with reply, retweet and the like, which will allow you to see the conversations as they occur.
