This is the Sony smartphone without on-screen side frames

It is clear that when a manufacturer imposes a fashion to be followed, all the others want their device according to that fashion. We have seen how in a five-year projection, mobile devices have been increasing the screen size. We went from having smartphones with screens no larger than 4 ″ inches, to having smartphones with screens that exceed 5'5 ″ inches. Now the fashion of manufacturers is to launch a device where, its front part, is all screen, at least on its sides.

In fact, we have seen veteran companies such as Samsung presented its Galaxy S6 Edge in March, a device that does not have side frames on the front of the device since its screen is curved. Companies like Xiaomi, Oppo and now Sony are looking to have a new range of devices without screen bezels. The Japanese will do it with a new smartphone called the Sony Levander, which could come out next week.

Sony Mobile has been a long time when things are not going quite well. Its sales are not exactly the best of its entire history as a manufacturer, but not the worst either. Their strategy is to launch premium devices when it comes to manufacturing, so it is normal that we see high-end devices lately instead of mid-range devices. A clear example of the aforementioned is that its range of devices Xperia Z updated to Android 5.0 leaving aside other mid-range devices.

Now Sony wants to enter the world of smartphones without side bezels on the front and will do so under the code name, Sony Lavender. This smart device will be the first of the brand without having side frames on its front and it will probably be the device to follow for the next Sony smartphones. We talked about the new device not long ago when a supposed image of the terminal was leaked and now we talk about it again since several images and supposed specifications have been leaked.

Judging by the alleged images, the phone apparently will not have side bezels on its front, in addition to being made of metal. As for its supposed specs, the Sony Lavender is rumored to incorporate a screen larger than 5,5 ″ inches and it will have a resolution of 1080p. Inside we will find a MT6752 processor Eight-core with 64-bit architecture, clocked at 1,7 Ghz manufactured by MediaTek. Next to the processor we will find 2 GB of RAM. In its photographic section, we see how its main camera located on the back of the device will be 13 Megapixels along with the IMX214 sensor. Among other rumored features we see how the device will run with Android 5.0 Lollipop under the company's customization layer, it will incorporate dual-SIM or 4G connectivity.

With regard to the other characteristics of the terminal are unknown so we will have to wait for next week since it has been rumored that the device will go on sale. It remains to be seen if this mid-range smartphone without bezels on its screen will reach other markets or only in the Asian market.
