The LG G Watch 2 smartwatch for September? [Updated]

LG G Watch 2 in Berlin

From the Korea Times comes the surprising news that LG would be ready to launch its second generation of the G Watch, just in less than 3 months since the first version was presented, the first smartwatch to have Android Wear.

The wearable known as LG G Watch 2, will be presented at the IFA 2014 conference in Berlin, and it will come with a good set of innovations over the previous model. It seems that LG is taking it very seriously in everything concerning Android Wear and smart watches, as it is surprising that in such a short time it has developed a new wearable improving what was previously seen on the G Watch.

Among the plans of the Korean company is the change in regards to the technology present on the screen, replacing the existing AMOLED LCD with an OLED variant. What we do not have at the moment is information regarding the screen format that will remain, although if it is the second generation it can be assumed that it will arrive with that square shape, or finally become circular like the Moto 360.

What we can report is that LG is contact a manufacturer to improve the design in general of the new LG G Watch 2, so we remain on the lookout in this regard.

With the expected launch for early September, the LG G Watch 2 may take an important position with respect to others wearables with Android Wear, with Samsung's Gear Live, and with the imminent launch of the Moto 360.

We will have to see if we really the company has put the batteries and it brings us something improved to what has been the LG G Watch. Another smart watch that reinforces the message that Google wants to give with its Android Wear to the whole world so that 2015 is its definitive year.

[Updated] According to LG itself there are no details yet on the confirmation of new products with Android: «LG will continue to support the Android platform beyond the G Watch. But as of today, we cannot give any information related to new products with Android Wear«.

I do not know if LG is preparing or not an imminent G-Watch 2, but if so, it would seem very bad to me since people who have bought this watch for € 199 first, will see how in 4 months they are already out of date and having I have to pay at least another 199 to have another one ... Those of us who have been "touched" in promotion I think we don't care because at the end of the day we haven't spent the extra money but wow ... LG's bad move if it does this.
