Android has grown a lot since the first version came out but nevertheless, the multi-window has been one of the absences in each of the new versions that have been coming out throughout this time.
Although, for example, there are custom ROMs that provide multi-window mode functionality, the team in charge of the stock version of Android has never introduced it, but this is about to change and the team behind the new Pixel tablet C, has confirmed that in the next version of android, we will call it Android N for now, will incorporate, finally, multi-window mode.
The news was known thanks to a question and answer session between the engineering team of the famous tablet and the users of the famous Reddit network. It is curious to see how the multi-window mode is reluctant to leave since, Android Marshmallow already incorporates a multi-window mode, although its code is hidden.
Android N with Multi-Window
We are seeing a movement in the market to launch larger tablets than we were used to seeing. Apple, for example, has launched its 12-inch iPad Pro, Microsoft has its Surface range and Google has recently launched its Pixel C tablet.
