The latest rumors related to the second generation of the Galaxy Fold suggest that the S-Pen will not be present. According to various Korean media, the reason is not related to the technology to incorporate under the screen, but to the Samsung's need to reduce the weight of the device.
Samsung wants to reduce the weight of the second generation of the Galaxy Fold, placing it at 229 grams, about 40 grams less than the first generation. Incorporating an S-Pen would only increase the size of the device (to add a space to store it) and therefore, the weight to which the S-Pen would have to be added would increase. But this is not the only rumor related to the Galaxy Fold 2.
According to a Korean media, Samsung wants expand the range of colors of this second generation. We are talking about the Martian Green and Astro Blue colors, colors that are probably not available in all countries, following Samsung's policy on color availability.
The colors Martian Green and Astro Blue, were originally designed for the first generation of the Galaxy Fold, but they were rejected at the last minute due to problems with the screen that the terminal suffered in the generation prior to its launch, problems that forced the company to delay its arrival on the market until the end of the year.
In this way, due to the delay in the launch of the first generation Fold, Samsung reduced its color catalog to just two: Space Silver and Cosmos Black. The official presentation date of the Galaxy Fold 2 is scheduled for August 2020, at the same Galaxy Note 11/21 presentation event.
