It all started with Iconic Identity, which came from the Xperia S, a model with ergonomic curves and a row of buttons at the bottom of the screen. Later Omnibalance arrived, which was present between 2012 and 2015 and which came from the hand of the Xperia Z. This design offered us a rectangular design with rounded corners and which was also one of the first devices that began to implement both water resistance as well as dust, a resistance that has become more and more common among high-end manufacturers.

Soon after, Unified Design arrived, a design that came from the hand of the new Xperia X range, a design that smoothed the edges with a looped surface, transforming the round power button used in the Xperia Z range into a fingerprint reader. . This new design offers us a different design, where the edges have been greatly reduced and where the screen has come to offer an 18: 9 format, like most manufacturers on the market. Although it has cost more than the account, Sony can already boast of offering a model more suited to current market needs.
