One of the great advantages of using Android is the possibility of choosing third-party applications to replace the factory or stock applications, and one of them is the SMS messages application.

Textra SMS is one of the best clients for text and multimedia messages that I have tried in the last two months. With this application we can not only send lines of text, but we can also share photos, videos and music through SMS / MMS. It also has a very careful design, which for me, gives a chair to Google Apps.

Below I detail the features and functions of this fabulous app.
-Material Design- It is the new design guide established by Google to be used in applications and the entire Google ecosystem, and was presented for the first time in the new version of Android, Android L.
As mentioned a few lines back, Textra makes use of Material Design at 101%, allowing us to choose three themes: "Light", "Dark" and "Black" Mode, additionally it has a color palette that allows us to make combinations for the interface.

-Floating Notifications- En Android L was introduced "Floating Notifications" to see our notifications at the top of the screen showing the information of the contact that sends it and a part of the message. Very similar to Windows Phone and its Metro interface.
Textra SMS allows us to configure the period of time that goes from 5 seconds to 3 minutes. In the same way, we can configure the notification to be displayed on the lockscreen, allowing you to respond to the message without unlocking the screen, because you just have to touch the notification.

- “Quick Reply” - It allows us to respond to messages without having to leave the application you are using; just touch the floating notification and the quick reply window will appear. Without a doubt something very useful when you are playing.

-Emotions- Emotions are GIF images categorized by "emotions". Textra has a gallery where we can download these animations for free. Here I must clarify that there is a section of images NSFW, so that they take their precautions.

-Android Wear- Finally we have this variant of Android that is here to stay in our smart watches. Well, Textra SMS joins Android Wear, in this way it will keep us aware of the SMS received.

Regarding the general performance, I must say that Textra captivated me with its speed and fluidity of its interface, but the best thing is not that but that it is free and contains free plug-ins. Without a doubt, Textra SMS will make you fall in love.
