Test-keys on the build number after installing Nougat on your Huawei P9 Lite? Here the solution

huawei p9 lite rollback

Are you one of the people who, when updating to Android Nougat (B370 onwards) on the Huawei P9 Lite, build number left in test-keys when in fact it is how it would be to the beta testers of Huawei? Many times, when installing software that has not yet been confirmed and later signed this usually happens, but there is no need to worry, it has a solution.

Therefore, in this article I come to teach you how to get back from Android Nougat with test-keys to Android Marshmallow so that you can try again to install Android Nougat correctly since the trigger for this error is to install the wrong firmware.

build number test key

Previous steps before starting

  • Have the phone charged at least up to 60%
  • As I already explained in previous articles, the first of all would be make a backup from our files as the following method factory restores the entire phone.

Install the middle package

Huawei P9 Lite Nougat Rollback

This file we will use it as a bridge to be able to install Marshmallow again. Remember that the Build number of this update is C900B300.

Being in Nougat, we create a folder in the SD called dload, we unzip the file and put it in the folder we have created. Subsequently, we turn off the phone and press Volume-, Volume + and Power y the phone will start the installation automatically.

Once the terminal starts, check that the build number is C900B300 In order to follow the procedure, do not be alarmed as it is normal.

Marshmallow Installation (C432)

We download this Marshmallow firmware, I in my opinion I would install the C432B160 since it does not give problems of any kind, others give problems with Google services and leave the mobile inaccessible forcing the user to install another Firmware that does not have that problem.

We create a folder in the SD called dload, we unzip the file until it is named UPDATE.APP and we save it in the folder we have created. Then, we turn off our phone and start the restoration with the same combination of buttons that we used previously Volume-, Volume + and Power. The restoration will automatically begin and we will have Android Marshmallow to later install Android Nougat if you wish.

    Hey.
I have a P9 Lite VNS L31 and apparently I have made a mistake and installed the update of a P9 EVA-09. (I get when passing it through the dc unlocker)
Now I have the black screen with the red letters Your device has failed verification… ..
From there it does not happen the maximum I have achieved is to enter the factory reset / wipe screen.
I give the factory reset (with an update of p9 lite inside the dload folder on the sd) and at 6% it stops and a red exclamation appears.
I try to do it using adb commands (fastboot all unlock) but I get remote: command not allowed.
I don't know what to do anymore, any suggestions?

José the same thing happened to me and I thought that I was not going to be able to fix it anymore, the way I solved it was by downloading the Rollback, I tried 2 and it was the second one that worked in fact I tried several times with other roms wanting to install them with the three buttons but as you say it was locked when I just wanted to load. Try downloading the Rollback of android 6, it will restore fine, then you unlock the OEM and install the recovery TWRP so that you install android 7

my problem is that after updating (and subsequent power failure) the cel, it was in Compilation NRD90M test-keys. And it hangs often. I need to go back to the compilation I had from the factory; I know what it is; Since the Hisuite, I keep a backup «update.zip.dbk» of the original ROM, but I cannot return to that from HiSuite ... it appears «the device does not support system recovery» that is, it blocks the access of the Hi-suite
