Sony updates the Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop

X

Finally this April is the one used by Sony to update its Xperia Z range to Android version 5.0.2 Lollipop. A long-awaited update for fans of the Japanese company and that will increase the visual quality of their beloved Xperia phones. Some terminals that have managed to position themselves among the different devices of other manufacturers, and of which we can highlight the Z3 and Z3 Compact for performing better than anyone in what is the battery.

According to today's announcement itself, users who own an Xperia Z3 Dual, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra should receive the update to Lollipop from this very day. For next week Sony will unlock Android version 5.0.2 Lollipop for the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 (both in their dual-SIM variants). Regarding the older Xperia Z, the thing is for a few weeks from what can be known from the same announcement.

Lollipop for all Z

Since Sony announced that all Xperia Z would receive Android Lollipop, although it did not have to be that way because more than 2 years have passed since they were launched, a great stir and even more joy occurred among the community of users of this phone. Now that they are updates being deployed for all terminalsYou just have to wait a little longer so that in less than a rooster crows your device will have its portion of Lollipop.

Xperia Z

It must be taken into account that this global deployment has nothing to do with the availability of the versions of different regions and carriers. Let's also not forget how Sony recently released a video indicating how Lollipop would arrive for the original Xperia Z series, among which are the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and little patience.

For everyone else, if you do not want to wait for the update from the operator always remains to install a ROM via FLASHTOOL in order to taste that desired portion of Lollipop.

I HAVE A SONY Z3 FOR TWO MONTHS AGO AND IT WAS PERFECT UNTIL IT WAS UPDATED: SINCE I DON'T LIKE THE UPDATE, I WANTED TO RESTORE IT TO RESTORE FACTORY DATA: THE SURPRISE HAS BEEN THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE THE PREVIOUS VERSION. I THINK THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPORT THAT WITH SUCH UPDATE, YOU CANNOT RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION DATA THAT HAVE CONFIRMED ME ATTENTION TO THE CUSTOMER OF SONY.
EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THERE IS NO WAY TO GO BACK TO THE ORIGIN OF PURCHASE VERSION.

Ines, it really can't be restored? I just did it and it is true that the lollipop is disgusting, but I thought it was my fault! It's not that I don't like the version, it's that the mobile overheats and eats up the battery in half a day! I'm afraid it will spoil me from getting so hot. Well, they have messed it up with the lollipop this ... I hope there is a solution, because I'm not willing to have my cell phone damaged by these people ... will they give me a new one if that happens? No right? Well, fix this but now!

Well, you are right. I have a Sony Xperia Z Ultra that went like a shot with the previous version and this update makes my phone very slow…. And it's because this lousy update makes the operating system consume 700 MEGAS OF RAM !! When the previous one did not exceed 300 megabytes. And of course it heats up and consumes more battery with the consequent decrease in autonomy and danger of overheating…. THIS IS A GARBAGE WITH ALL THE LETTERS UPDATED. I hope they fix it soon because if you can't go back to the previous version, my phone will be loaded and it worked to death as I say. HUGE UPDATE that also does not bring anything significantly good.

Thanks Ines for your contribution. I was looking for exactly how to do the same. Go back to the previous version ... But if you tell me that it has been confirmed by Sony ... We have no choice but to wait and pray that the terminal does not break due to overheating ... Of course ... I'm going to take screenshots with the consumables and uploads de.temperatura and as the terminal breaks the claim in consumption there is no one to take it away. And then we'll see what happens ... Perobal judged will go fixed. If they didn't fix it. Greetings.

I recently updated my Xperia z1 compact, the truth is that I'm doing very well, only when updating and when reviewing new applications such as New reader it does not appear, instead of that I get a monopoly I want to know if depending on the country the update is varied
