      SOLUTION FOR SAMSUNG SMART.
Hello Antonio, the same thing happened to me with my Galaxy S6 and after a lot of struggling, Samsung gave me the solution, here are the steps: I first closed all applications from settings, then close the phone, open it later and as soon as the First Samsung letter on the screen press the volume down key, keep it pressed until it opens, when opening the phone it will say SAFE MODE below left, grant all permissions to the applications that require it and then restart the cell phone. Reactivate the aps. from configuration and that's it.
I hope it works out for everyone.

      POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
Uninstall any application that can "control" our device, by this I mean all Lockers, AppLocks, Cleaners, Accelerators, Battery Savers, apps that can control the brightness of the screen.

Examples of these applications would be: all of CM or chetah mobile, Clean master, MacroDroid, Night Mode, Screen Filter, CM Locker, Next Locker, AppLock Lock ...

This would be a possible solution, but I'm not 100% sure it works. If you don't have any of the above apps, try uninstalling any apps that you think might influence your device or screen.

In case it works for you, I recommend that you do not reinstall them, as it could happen again: /

      I hope I helped them.

I found the solution for the one plus 2 !!! Very easy you go to where it says the settings and it takes you to where the overlapping applications are, then disable all of them !! Then later you re-enable them but first, you disable all of them and it will leave you, put permissions, it is so beautiful T__T

Thank you very much Jorge, IT WORKS! And that simple. Thanks again, I was desperate

The same as everyone, when I enter application permissions, whatever the application is and in any of the different tabs such as storage, contacts, camera, etc. as soon as I press the tab that is in gray to open it, the OVERLAY window appears. SCREEN DETECTED. I open settings and I don't know how to continue….
and everything since the last update 5 days ago in my case.

Please have someone know how to solve it, thanks

Greetings, I comment that in some cases the "Overlay" problem can be solved by uninstalling the "Clean Master", since many users use it on their phones and tablets. It is possible that this is due to the various functions that this App has, and we will have to hope that in a next update these problems will be corrected.

Here is the solution: disable all applications from application settings, open the phone in SAFE MODE as follows. way to restart it, we wait and as soon as the first letter of Samsung appears, press the volume down button, grant all the permissions required by the diff. aps. and restart the phone. And that's it. Reactivate the aps. that we deactivate.

Hello, I have a bq M5 and when I want to enable a permission such as contacts or gallery I get a message that I must deactivate the application screen overlay but the problem is that it does not appear in system applications and I cannot perform any change. Solutions please. Thanks a lot.

Hello, I have a s7 and it does the same to me, I tried everything, and nothing solves it.

  15.   Bea said

Hello everyone! It happened to me exactly the same on my bq aquaris M5 when the update was installed I got a dialog box where it said Screen overlay detected and I could not change the permissions. The problem is that you have an app installed that does not let you change them and that box skips. In my case it was Clean Master, so if you have it, uninstall it and you will see how it lets you change the permissions and the other apps work well for you.
I hope they fix the problem because I love the CleanMaster app to clean memory on my mobile.

Indeed, the CLIM MASTER was the cause of all the trouble. I had a few days with the happy problem. Desperate Until I read Delia's tip (above) and pudge get your whatsapp back. I have a Samsung. But limitations of premises were emerging and again the happy overlapping of screens. After uninstalling the CLIM Master, as you have proposed and I already have free access to the management of premises. Okay, for boost rows and this forum.

I had the same problem on my Huawei p8, but it turns out that I had activated an option called floating button used for some direct shortcuts for my cell phone. And since that button appears as an icon on the screen, that's why it says screen position because the icon is on the screen like other devices, but in that case, through the clean master app that puts a bubble on the screen. screen that's called screen overlay, that's why when those who previously commented that they uninstalled the clean master app automatically removed that little bubble that prevented access to app permissions, when I deactivated the floating button option they granted me the permissions, this means that any app that places some floating quick access on the screen will cause restrictions to app permissions until they deactivate the option, it will allow them, but while it is active they will not be able to do anything. All that mess is for app protection malicious programs that bring viruses with me, waiting for the opportunity to access the permissions, so while the device detects activity on the screen, it does notIt will give access to grant permissions I hope I have given myself to understand, something tangled but I hope it works for me, it took me a bit to understand why this happens.

What opinions are there about android 7 Nugat ?. Will it bring problems like the one caused by android 6 Marshmallow with screen overlay? Should you update or not?

  25.   Delia said

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and I had a lot of problems when I upgraded to android 6 Marshmallow. I couldn't use many apps because they required permissions that there was no way to give them, because a "screen overlay" ad was appearing that couldn't be fixed by going to conf. etc. as explained in the blogs. WILL ANDROID 7 NUGAT BRING SIMILAR PROBLEMS? WILL IT BE ADVISABLE TO UPDATE?

Consult, with this new version of Android the part of giving permissions to WhatsApp appears disabled, I already deleted the application, deleted cache, restarted the phone and I still cannot access the contacts

    1.    Delia said

I did this with my Samsung Galaxy s6 and it worked. Reboot the phone, at the moment the first Samsung letter appears press the volume down key. Release the key when the phone finishes booting up. At that time, all requested authorizations can be given for all apps. At the end of granting them restart the cell phone again. Mu
