The official update of Android 4.3 for Samsung Galaxy S3, model GT-I9300, is still pending by Samsung, although to liven up the wait, the guys from sammobile.com They have leaked a version as a test for anyone who wants to try it and get ahead of the official version of Samsung that at the moment it is not known when it will be available.
The good thing about this version is that will not increase the flashing counter of our terminal with the consequent validity of the official guarantee. Furthermore, this Open Europe firmware does not include the odious new security system implemented by Samsung and better known as KNOX.

How do I install this Open Europe Android 4.3 firmware?
This firmware is installed via Odin y unchecked repartition Then I leave you direct links to everything you need to update the Samsung Galaxy S3 model GT-I9300:
- I9300XXUGMK6_I9300OXAGMK6_OXA.zip
- Odin v3.09
Once the files are downloaded, we unzip them anywhere in our PC with Windows and we execute Odin with administrator permissions, then we place the firmware files as I explain below, taking special care of do not check the Re-Partition box.
- Restart the phone in download mode (Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons)
- Connect the phone and wait until you get a blue signal on Odin
- Add AP_I9300XXUGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to AP
- Add BL_I9300XXUGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to BL
- Add MODEM_I9300XXUGMK6_REV02_REV04_CL1413323.tar.md5 to CP
- Add CSC_OXA_I9300OXAGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to CSC
- Make sure re-partition is NOT checked
- Click the Start button and wait without touching anything for the process to finish and Odin return the PASS to us.
If when restarting the terminal we were left in the Recovery screen giving us an error, we solve it from the Recovery itself by doing a Wipe cache partition y Wipe data factory reset.
In principle this firmware you should not delete our applications or data, although it never hurts to make one Backup in case the flies, especially in case it remains anchored in the Recovery screen and we have to do the Wipe data factory reset, since in that case we will delete all the apps and data from our phone.

Everything works perfectly, you just lose everything you have in the phone's memory, the apps, your contacts (if you have them in the phone's memory) just make sure you back everything up (I lost a lot of important things)

It is the final one and I have it from 1 day ago and it has not given me problems. The battery lasts longer than in 4.1.2 and the mobile is very fluid and the games also all very well. install it without problems do not be afraid it is an official update only that you install it manually.

I have just done it. I am Spanish and I live in Spain. I have updated it 5 minutes ago and it has aired all the applications. The backup is now restoring from the internet, don't see how funny it is.
