Samsung Galaxy A3, a new member of the new A series family

It seems that today is Samsung day. We have already told you about the new smartwatch with a fingerprint sensor that the manufacturer is preparing and its new Samsung Galaxy A5, belonging to the A series range. Now it's the turn of the Samsung Galaxy A3 (SM-A3000), a decaffeinated version of the Galaxy A5 although it will stand out for its 64-bit processor.

The person responsible for the leak was a GFXBench performance test, where we have been able to see all the characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy A3, which will be a mid-range, like the A5, counting as expected with some metallic element in its design.

According to the leaked data, the Samsung Galaxy A3 will integrate a 4.8-inch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Your processor will be a Snapdragon 410 SoC with 64 bit architecture and four 53 GHz Cortex-A1.2 cores, along with an Adreno 306 GPU and 1 GB of RAM.

The A3 will feature a 8 megapixel main camera with capacity to make videos in Full HD quality, in addition to a 5 megapixel front lens. Its internal memory will be 8 GB capacity, somewhat scarce although it can surely be expanded through micro SD cards. Finally, it should be noted that Android 4.4.4 KitKat will be in charge of rolling this new smartphone, surely under the TouchWiz layer of the Korean manufacturer.

Watching the technical characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy A3, it is clear that it is a mid-range smartphone, inferior even to the Galaxy A5. We do not know the price or the launch date, although surely Samsung will launch this phone throughout this year and at a much lower price than the Galaxy Alpha or the A5. I understand that it will not exceed 300 euros, although they are my guesses.

I like that Samsung is also making the leap, as HTC has done, to 64-bit processors. And the idea of your new range A series I love it with which it aims to reform its mid-range. Currently the Samsung Galaxy that make up this range are simply clones of each other, now at least the Seoul-based manufacturer will offer different models, with other configurations and a more premium design.

Hopefully the play will turn out well, because as they launch these phones with attractive prices they can burst the market but as the prices of these mid-ranges rise, I am afraid they will be stamped. And to you What do you think of the new Galaxy A range from the Korean manufacturer?
