Samsung and the well-known South Korean operator SK Telecom have announced a new a 5G phone named Galaxy A Quantum. Samsung Galaxy A Quantum It is the first 5G device equipped with a quantum random number generator (QRNG) chip and developed by ID Quantique, a subsidiary of the Asian operator.
El QRNG chipset is SKT IDQ S2Q000, which enhances the security of phone data by using quantum encryption technology for random number generation and unpredictable secure key creation. It has been working on it for a long time before its release.
The chipset has an LED and a CMOS image sensor, detects the light emitted by the diode and generates random numbers. Random numbers are provided to services that require identification and certification, mobile payment applications, generating encryption keys and improving their security.

Next to the QRNG chip It comes with a 6,7-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution and an under-screen fingerprint reader. The processor chosen by the Korean manufacturer is the 980-core Exynos 8, it comes in a single configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Availability and price
El Samsung's Galaxy A Quantum will arrive on May 22 in three colors to South Korea: black, blue and silver. Its price is KRW649,000, about 490 euros at the change and they do not specify if it will be released in other markets.
