It seems that lately the manufacturers of Android terminals are focusing on improve the quality offered by the camera on smartphones and they are even trying to increase it in low light conditions. From using a higher quality lens as in the new Sony Xperia Z1 terminal or the ISOCELL sensors from Samsung itself.

Without a doubt we are facing one of the most important factors today when we use a smartphone, the multimedia possibilities offered by the camera, and the multitude of social networks and applications, make photography a relevant key point that Samsung is trying to significantly increase as it is developing a 13MP camera sensor with improved OIS technology.

The acronym OIS stands for Optical Image Stabilization, and this technology is being upgraded by Samsung on a 13MP sensor. This new sensor stands out for the 1.5 degree angle correction compared to 0.7 which can be found in most of digital cameras, which means that the greater the skill in correcting an angle error, the better the tolerance for unforeseen movement, resulting in an even sharper picture.

In addition, Samsung claims that the 10.5 x 10.5 x 5.9mm module 8x improves shots taken in low light conditions, consumes less power than existing modules and supports full HD video recording.

The Korean company expects to mass produce this module by the beginning of the year to incorporate them into their models throughout the year, so perhaps it could be seen already implemented in the next Galaxy S5, undoubtedly at a perfect time to improve the quality of the photography of the next flagship of the company.
