How to put password to your Android device from the Google device manager

Hello everyone! This is my first article as a contributor to the web googleizados.com. To debut as such, I have thought about explaining how to give it a little extra security to your Android devices (smartphones or tablets) to protect them against theft or loss.

Possibly, many of you know that, Google, not long ago released a online device manager. This is designed for you to locate your device, block it, or erase all its content in case it has fallen into the wrong hands.

The latest improvement that the guys from Google have made with their online device manager service is to add the possibility of protecting your smartphone or tablet from anywhere with a security password. In this article, I will explain the steps to follow to activate this option.

First of all, is that you check that you have activated the administrator of devices on your Android smartphone or tablet. You can check it in the settings menu, security, device manager.

The second step is simply to access the service administrator through your web browser. The link to it is this.

Finally, it only remains for you to click on the option block and enter a password of your choice twice. Now, nobody will be able to use your device without knowing the new password.

Of course, if you manage to recover your device, you can remove the key and generate another one. Of course, it is a good extra security measure as a complement to your password or unlock pattern. Thus, you will not make things easy for anyone. See you in my next article!
