Samsung continues to lead the global smartphone sales market. It is in second place to Apple and in the third to Huawei, which has been pushing hard. A global market that the Korean manufacturer leads and that continues to launch important products, such as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, to continue in this position.
One of the most important markets on the planet, the United States, is back under the mandate of Samsung as we have learned today. According to analysts at Counterpoint Research, Samsung is now the market leader for smartphones in the United States. The last time Samsung displaced Apple was eleven months ago, but now, thanks to strong sales of the Galaxy S7, the company is leading again.
According to the firm, Samsung now has the 28,8 percent of market share in the month of March, while Apple ranks second with 23%. Not only has it been the fault of the great performance in veins of the Galaxy S7, a spectacular smarthone, but the iPhone SE has not been exactly what Apple wanted in sales.
LG is third in contention with 17,1 percent market share, which means it is getting closer to Apple. As for this other Korean manufacturer, it should be mentioned that these figures do not include sales of the G5, so the company could get closer to Apple.
Counterpoint Research clarifies that Chinese smartphone manufacturers have not been able to even come close in market share to those percentages that we are talking about. Huawei reached 1 percent of the US market, while ZTE is in fourth with 6,6 percent. Alcatel is the fifth with a market share of 4,5%.
