Root Explorer, uninstall the pre-installed applications from your Android

When we we bought an Android terminalWhether it is a mobile phone or anything else, it comes from the factory (as it always happens with any other operating system) with some applications already installed, from operators, from the "cooks" or that are native to the system. Some are basic and others more advanced, what happens is that it is not said that we like all of them and perhaps we would like to eliminate some to obtain more free space and maintain order.

Well if they are Android users they are lucky because they can uninstall the applications that come with the system including the ones from the custom rom, Unlike other operating systems that not only do not allow you to uninstall their applications, but even if you try to do it, your terminal no longer works well and you have to reinstall everything from scratch.

Well, having Android isn't really enough, too you have to be Root, which can be done with a single click thanks to Universal Android. Then you will have to install the file manager Root Explorer which has a price, is currently $ 3.95, so decide before if it suits you or not.

Then we will do like this:

  • We open Root Explorer.
  • We check that the upper box on the right says "Mount R / O", if not, click on the button until it says so.
  • The first time you have to authorize superuser permissions.
  • Let's go the folder "System", then to the caperta "App"; there will appear a list of the apk of the system apps.
  • Each apk represents an application. We will be eliminating what we do not want by clicking on each corresponding apk, then we give it «delete».

Simple enough, huh?

I'm trying to remove the calculator so I don't have 2 but it won't let me, when I give the calculator that comes standard, I get install instead of delete, does anyone know how to do it?

    1.    chuty said

If you have 2 calculators I would tell you to try the following.
      ª parte 1
The first thing is that you have the mobile routed and for example with the superuser application.
go to options (or settings) according to the mobile —-> applications —-> all
If you have it routed well and that select a calculator (the one you want to delete) and click on disable. In this way, it will not appear in the mobile menu and you will be able to verify that it does not affect the system. (If it affects your system, return to all the applications, select the calculator again and select enable).
      2nd part
you enter with ES EXPLORER -> tools—> root explorer
and the system will ask you if you give permission to "fiddle" so to speak. Press Yes.
and within root explorer you select unistall system app. Within this option you will see all your applications, look for your calculator (without stopping pressing) and you see that you get an icon or word to delete / desistalar.
you press, you say yes and that calculator will have been removed from your system.
NOTE: you can get the explorer root in tools or by giving some buttons above depending on the version of the ES explorer you have. the written example is with my version.
I hope it helps you a little bit

Tommy: You have to press on the application until the options menu appears and there in delete ..
Likewise, to eliminate system applications, the Root Manager is much more practical.

  4.   tommy360 said

ok thanks luis i already saw it, you can replace anything without any failure, for example sms which is very bland, i am going to make a nandroid anyway just in case.

Hello people, I'm great with the program but if you want to recover some copy it in the sd then go and delete it like that when you want to recover it, copy it in the same place and give it install and you already have it back 🙂

guys on my desy (root explorer) not working when I click on apk and delete
it tells me that the filesystem is read only

    1.    chuty said

look for an option in root explore that makes you look like mouth R / W or R / O or R /? When you click on that option, you can surely choose R / W, which is the one that allows you to modify files, uninstall them ... whatever you want.

  8.   andres said

Can you give me a hand, I can't uninstall any program
of the pre-installed ones neither with (rot manager, nor root explorer)
I follow the steps that you comment 1 × 1 but it tells me only writing

    1.    The Duri said

You can't, because the desi has to lock the system folder, you have to unlock the s-off.

that is wrong. Mount R / O means "Mount Read Only".

If you don't let me change to MR / O, what do I do?

      1.    The Duri said

Herman, that may be because you do not have it "rooted", in case you have, it may be that you do not have access to the system folders because the manufacturer blocks it.
        Ex: The HTC.
The same thing happened to me with my old android (HTC DESIRE) I had to "root" and s-off it.
In the htcmania.com forums you will find the solution to your doubts.

    2.    chuty said

It is true . there ke get the R / W option which is reading and writing ... we can modify at will.

I deleted an app by mistake where I recovered it

    1.    The Duri said

      You can't unless you've made a backup.

Instead of deleting the apps, what I do is move them to a backup folder on the sd, so if I ever need them I have them.

      1.    chuty said

Another option that is not bad is (when you have the mobile routed) select the option to disable within the application. so it does not appear on the mobile but if you want it some day you just have to go back and select enable

  12.   andres said

thanks duri, although i'm green on those issues i will try what you say

Hi, I have a problem with my spice. I accidentally deleted an application that was from the keyboard. The thing is, I don't know how to reinstall it because I can't use the keyboard, and there is some way to reinstall that application?

    1.    chuty said

It only occurs to me that you look if you have it routed to the mobile for some option within root explorer or similar to put some backup.
Another option would be to restore the factory options of the mobile and I am sure that you will have it again

delete the music and internet application but the icons still appear in the menu, do you know how to remove them?

    * when I want to enter those applications I get an error so I say that they are already uninstalled

    1.    chuty said

the truth is that it is strange. You can try to look for them in settings — applications— all applications and see if they appear (IF THEY ARE, you can select the option to disable) and surely you will not get more.
Another thing ... make sure that the applications you say are not shortcuts continue to appear ... if it's just that, removing the shortcut should be enough

  24.   chuty said

If you have it well routed, the first thing is that you try to get into root explorer (I have it in the ES explorer application) and within root explorer try selecting an option that says Mouth R / W (it can also leave R / O) that option It is of permissions and if you have it set to R / W (read and write) it should allow you to perfectly modify files.
Once that is done you should have no problem in giving the option unistall system app (within root explorer) and selecting the application you want to remove.
Let's see if you are lucky
