We have decided to slightly change our review format, this time the unboxing will go out of YouTube and you can enjoy them through our social networks. Japanese design, curling the curl

Although it inherits large lines from the Realme GT, this Master Edition has certain details that make it somewhat more attractive, or at least something more elegant. We have a polycarbonate chassis, something that is clearly noticeable in the weight of 178 grams (vegan leather included). The skin-like vinyl sheet, or as they now call it vegan leather on the back it has a very attractive relief and high quality finishes.

Real GT Master Edition

  • Size: 159 * 73 * 8 (8,7mm with vegan leather)
  • Weight: 174 grams (178 grams with vegan leather)

For its part, the 16 centimeters long are quite comfortable every day considering its lightness and its scarce 8 millimeters thick. The prominent rear camera section is striking, while the Power button remains on the right bezel and the volume settings on the left. For the lower bezel, the USB-C is left together with the perforation of the speaker and the 3,5 mm Jack that is still present.

The box includes a very well finished matte silicone case and that completely imitates the original design of the device, something remarkable. The same happens with the classic screen protector film already installed and that I recommend replacing with a tempered glass, something that elevates the quality sensations on any mobile.

Technical characteristics

Adjusting the hardware in order to adjust the price, This Realme GT Master Edition arrives with the Snapdragon 778G with compatibility for 5G networks and accompanied by 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM to which 3 GB of virtual RAM will be added, at least in the unit that we have tested and object of this analysis. In this regard, Realme does not scratch, as it happens with the 128 GB of storage, although we have not been able to verify if it has a UFS 3.1 system as it happens with its older brother. As for the GPU, bet on the Adreno 642L as expected.

The result is fluidity, ease of work and reduced loading times. We quite liked the performance of the WiFi 6 network as you can see in the video. Accompanied by Realme UI 2.0, which once again leaves us with a somewhat strange taste in our mouths due to the bloatware included and that nobody asked for.

Multimedia content

We have a panel of almost 6,5 inches at FullHD + resolution manufactured by Samsung, more specifically a Super AMOLED With a refresh rate of 120 Hz that is tripled in the case of the touch screen, it has 100% of the DCI-P3 spectrum, which makes the panel one of the main attractions of the device. The brightness is more than enough for the most demanding exteriors and we have really enjoyed using it.

Realme GT Master Edition - Front Screen

Regarding the volume, despite announcing a double speaker, we found too much prominence of the lower one with a sufficiently high volume and good quality, As long as you don't unconsciously cover it with your hand, perhaps the least conspicuous aspect of the multimedia experience.

Camera test

As for the three rear sensors, we find a result almost identical to that of the Realme GT, in this Master Edition we still have a very nice main sensor but an insufficient company:

Realme GT Master Edition - Case

  • Main sensor: 64 MP f / 1,8
  • Wide Angle Sensor: 8 MP f / 2,3 with 119º
  • Macro sensor: 2 MP f / 2,4

As a final result, the main sensor offers good performance as long as we do not demand light contrasts. The Wide Angle, the zooms and above all the Macro are a versatile company but that only shines in extremely favorable conditions. The camera, despite having different options, is clearly affected by the low quality of the "secondary" sensors.

Portrait Mode and selfie camera (32 MP with f / 2.5 aperture) they are once again conditioned by excess software. While the front camera performs well in favorable lighting conditions, the front and rear 'portrait' has a lot to improve.

Regarding video recording, We invite you to go directly through our video analysis where we have made recordings in real time and freehand with all the sensors of the Realme GT Master Edition.

Connectivity and autonomy

We have been amazed by the performance of your WiFi 6 network card state-of-the-art that has allowed us to get the most out of the performance of our fiber optic connection. Unfortunately we were unable to get results from the 5G network due to poor coverage.

The 4.300 mAh battery with 65W fast charge It shows more than enough for daily performance, we already know that this will depend largely on the use we make of the terminal.

Editor's Opinion

We have a good job from Realme with the intention of "popularizing" the GT Master Edition, adjusting the design and features in order to obtain a price of 299 euros (on sale) that quickly converts it by design, capabilities and versatility into one of the most striking high-end terminals.
