To the surprise of many, Xiaomi's "Quick Apps" app is being blocked by Google Play Protect. That is, it is being flagged by the Play Store due to problems related to the tracking it performs.
With everything the future of the problem of China and the United States, related both to the tracking of some of its apps and its mobiles, the fact that we now have Xiaomi with its Quick Apps stopped, for now, it seems that it is not strange either.
There are some users who are reporting that a popup has been received from Play Protect notifying that an update to Quick Apps has been blocked because this app is collecting data that could be used to track the user.
Why the quick apps is blocked by the play protect?

The funny thing is that this app is not available in the Play Store, but it is distributed by Xiaomi's own platform. This does not mean that Play Protect is able to scan all apps installed on any device with Google Play Services; even if we have APKs, they are also scanned.
At the moment it is unknown why Quick Apps has been flagged as a "data tracker", but from what is known from PinuikaWeb, this app has too extensive access to too many permissions that allow it to collect any data from the user's phone. We are talking about a total of 55 permissions, among which are the IMEI and SIM numbers, details of the towers to which cell phones are connected, user credentials ...
As with many other apps and services, this data is supposed to make it easier for advertisers to "improve" advertising and make it more "curated" for the user. We will have to see what it contains the new Quick Apps update that you have forced the one marked as a data tracker with Play Protect; Don't miss how to analyze malware with Play Protect.
