Qualcomm's 845, 660 and 636 processors are now optimized for Android P

The launch of Android Oreo meant the beginning of what could be the end of the happy fragmentation of Android, a fragmentation that when more than 6 months have passed since the launch of the final version, we can see how Android Oreo barely exceeds 5% adoption. Thanks to Project Treble, manufacturers only have to take care of making their customization layer compatible.

So far, they also had to take care of the processor compatibility, but Google already takes care of that, so in theory, manufacturers will have it much easier when updating their terminals. The first step is found in the compatibility of the second beta of Android P with a greater number of terminals, since Qualcomm already offers compatibility with the Snapdragon 845, 660 and 636 processors.

According to the processor manufacturer, has worked together with Google to offer this compatibility as soon as possible, which will ensure a much faster update of their terminals, although for now, it seems that the two largest in the market, Samsung and Huawei have not begun to adopt this project, which would be a step back in the expansion plans of the next versions that Google launches to the Android market.

Something must happen between Samsung and Huawei with Google, because It doesn't make any sense that both manufacturers haven't officially confirmed yet the compatibility with this project in the versions of Android Oreo that some of its terminals already enjoy. That they intend to release their own operating system doesn't make much sense unless they have been working with leading developers to have the most used applications ready for a surprise release.

Samsung has evolved a lot with Tizen, an operating system that offers us better performance and resource consumption than Android. But if we talk about Huawei, who is also supposed to has its own operating system, we know absolutely nothing, only that started to develop it in 2012, when he faced different problems in America.
