Samsung also did the same with its Tizen operating system that we know less and less about and it seems that Huawei, the third largest phone manufacturer in the world, is heading towards that same place with your own OS for mobile devices. And it is that according to The Information, Huawei is creating an operating system for alternative mobile devices in case things go wrong in its relationship with Google. The Chinese manufacturer has reported that it has a team working on this OS in Scandinavia and among the engineers they would have workers who were previously at Nokia. Even the source indicates that the system would not be that far from ready for use.
Today we learned that Huawei will launch version 5.0 of EMUI with a big change in the interface that will resemble a purest version of Android. This is because, in October of last year, Huawei hired former Apple designer, Abigail Brody, to give a nice change to its custom layer for Android, so September is preparing as a very interesting month with the release of 5.0. by EMUI.
So these news regarding Huawei place it in a rather interesting position to be able to be independent at some point, although this seems weirder, and thus closer to a custom layer that removes criticism about an interface that closely resembles that of iOS.
We will have to see how that operating system looks and if Huawei is capable at some point in take it seriously to use it, because seeing what happened with Tizen, which has merely been for wearables, it seems rather that the dependence on Android and Google will be for a long time.
