Google has updated the Pixel software with some news related to 'Personal Security' and what would be options to improve our sleep hours. In their blog they have taken their time to tell us what those characteristics are.
They have also included in this One series of enhancements to extend battery life with 'Adaptive Battery', although we stayed with those options to encourage us to sleep more and have a better rest.
Battery and sleep improvements
'Adaptive Battery' is in charge of studying which are the applications that we use the most during the day and reduces the time of use to those that we do not usually use as much. But the novelty of this function is that in the Pixel 2 and the latest Google devices it can predict when the mobile will run out of battery and reduce the activity in the background of applications to keep the mobile for longer.
That is, that the Our Pixel's battery will be a bit "smart" to take actions that mean an improved experience and that little bit of more screen that it can give us. The novelty related to sleep is not that you are going to sleep better because your mobile is updated, but because it has some features that will help us to do so.
This function has to do with the Pixel's own clock app and tries to maintain a consistent sleep program throughout the days and a better balance with the screen of the same every night. The objective is that we fall peacefully asleep while we have sounds of calm and joy in the background and limit interruptions while we are dreaming of angels (or demons).
The important thing about this novelty related to sleep is that if the Pixel "finds" that you stay awake after that time when you usually go to sleep, will offer a series of data to know how long we were awake and what were the apps to blame for it.
Google Assistant teams up with Docs and sound recorder
This alliance is more than interesting because now the sound recorder or Recorder can be started and stopped through the Google Assistant or Google Assistant with a voice command. Interesting without any doubt and that it will allow us to record a work meeting or use artificial intelligence so that Google can reproduce the recordings we have of parties or even of our dog.
Now we can even make a full transcript of what Recorder hears to pass it directly to Google Docs and we can access it simply from the cloud or cloud. A striking alliance of this series of apps to add the user experience obtained from a Pixel.
Personal Safety Features
We already talked at the time that the Pixels would have the ability to detect accidents in order to issue an emergency call at the same time. The Personal Safety app on the Pixel 4 also becomes available on the rest of the Pixel and accident detection will also be present in the Pixel 3. It should be mentioned that this function is not available in all countries and only those in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia will be able to use it.
Another interesting security option is «safety check» or "security check", and that simply schedules a check-in from the app for a later time.
