We already know which chipset is the one that will have the Oppo Reno 3. Mediatek is the company that will equip the standard model of the series with its new mid-range processor, which comes with the name Dimension 1000L 5G. The new thing that now comes to us are some photos of the device, which are paired with some of the characteristics and specifications with which this will be launched next December 26.
The images were shared on Weibo by the account @Digital Chat Station and they show the system application (AIDA64) running on the phone, which is where the data that we describe below is taken from. In turn, in the photos you can see that the Reno 3 has a notch in the shape of a drop of water, a blue power button and a black frame.
The AIDA64 application confirms that the phone is powered by MediaTek's MT6855 processor, which will be officially known as Dimensity 1000L. The second image shows that the Dimensity 1000L has four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and four unknown cores clocked at 2.2 GHz.
The TENAA list of the Oppo Reno 3 says that the SoC is clocked at 2.2 GHz, so these unknown cores are the performance cores and should be the Cortex-A77s. Furthermore, the AnTuTu result already revealed that the chipset has a Mali-G77 GPU.
The phone in the picture has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as revealed by the TENAA listing, but we won't rule out OPPO announcing other variants in the future. So far it is known that the Reno 3 will have a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution, a 64 MP primary rear camera combined with an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. MP. There will also be a 32 MP camera on the front for selfies and more. Oppo will also ship it with a 4,025 mAh battery and Android 7-based ColorOS 10. The in-display fingerprint scanner won't be conspicuous by its absence.
