The flagship smartphone from China-based OnePlus, the OnePlus 7 Pro, was launched a few hours ago together with the OnePlus 7, and JerryRigEverything's Zack has already put it through extensive physical testing to verify the durability of the device.

It all starts with the scratch test and, as we can see, flagship screen begins to scratch at a level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, something that happens to such a degree thanks to the protection offered by Corning's Gorilla Glass 6. At level 7, you can start to see deeper ruts.
The pop-up front camera is also protected by glass that does not scratch easilyBut the area around it is made of plastic, which is more prone to scratches. The sides of the phone are made of metal, including the SIM card tray, volume rocker, power button, and alert slider.
The back panel of the OnePlus 7 Pro comes with Gorilla Glass 5, to protect it from scratchess. The OnePlus branding and the word mark are placed under the glass so that they cannot be easily detached.
Now, coming to the litmus test, the smartphone screen performed impressively. Did not show no dead pixels after about a minute of having a directly applied open flame. In comparison, other AMOLED panels generally last only about 20 seconds until non-recoverable pixel damage occurs.
Even when the glass on the top of the screen is damaged by Level 7 Mohs scratches, the OnePlus 7 Pro's in-screen fingerprint sensor still works. The phone also performed very well in the flex test, without showing any parting or folds.
