The security update corresponding to the month of April 2020 for the Samsung Galaxy A51, incorporates a surprise: updating Samsung's One UI customization layer to version 2.1. One UI 2.1 arrived on the market with the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Z Flip and little by little it has been reaching the rest of high-end terminals.
The One UI 2.1 update for the Galaxy A51 was released in the Korean market on May 5. The firmware version of this update is the number A515FXXU3BTD4 and as I have commented, includes the security patch for the month of April. The update occupies 1.26 GB.
One UI 2.1 adds enhancements to augmented reality Emoji, gallery app, improved keyboard, new Music Share and Quick Share features, and little else. Not all news that have come from the hand of the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Z Flip are available in this new update.
The functions that are not available in this update are related to the camera such as the Single Shot function, Pro mode for video recordings, new night mode, improved features for selfies. It also does not offer live video subtitling. and some augmented reality features.
The lack of some of these functions is mainly due to the hardware limitations of this mid-range device. This update has started rolling out in Russia, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, South Africa, Kenya and Israel, so it is only a matter of days before it is available in more countries.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 arrived on the Spanish market at the beginning of this year and It is currently priced on Amazon of 289 euros, a more than reasonable price for the specifications that it offers us, among which we find a 6,5 inch screen, Super AMOLED screen, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, four rear cameras.
