Lenovo has just presented the renewal of the Moto G range, a line of devices that marked a before and after in the market. While it is true that their solutions have always left us a great taste in our mouths, there are more and more competitors in the mid-range market. And this is where the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus.
Recall that during MWC 2017 Lenovo brought its two new phones to show muscle in the mid-range. Now, we bring you our first impressions after testing the Moto G5 Plus, a whole mid-range with premium finishes.
Lenovo bets on quality finishes for the Moto G line
With a price that will be around 280 euros, the Moto G5 Plus will come with a but: its price. But beware, we are talking about a phone that has really interesting finishes thanks to its chassis made of aluminum and with a fingerprint sensor that does not protrude from the front panel.
Motorola has gotten boring polycarbonate finishes seen in the vast majority of mid-range, with minor exceptions like the Honor 6X, to bet on a much more premium design and with a circular chamber that gives it a very attractive touch.
In the hand, the Moto G5 Plus offers a great feel in the hand. The phone feels sturdy and well built. With a weight that does not exceed 160 grams the phone feels great to use and you can reach any point on the screen with one hand.
Unlike the Moto G5, this Plus version does not have removable battery, so the nano SIM and micro SD card slot are located in a tray on the side. And all wedged into a thickness of 7.7 millimeters, so the work in this aspect is quite good.

A phone that has hardware that praises it in that new mid-high range. And is that with that processor and especially the model with 3 GB of RAM, the LG G5 Plus can move any game or application without major problems.
Another of the most interesting points of this phone comes with its main camera, formed by a 12 megapixel lens that offers some very interesting captures. I was doing a few tests at the Moto stand and the truth is that the camera of the Moto G5 Plus behaved very well.
Of course, the camera software is not very buoyant in terms of functions, although we will have some of the most basic such as manual mode that will allow us to adjust different values of the camera such as ISO or white balance to be able to squeeze to the maximum the possibilities of your camera.
So far the sensations have been quite good, a very complete phone, with quality finishes, a hardware to match and especially a screen and a camera that will surprise you. In any case, we will have to wait for the manufacturer to send us a test unit of this powerful phone to see how it behaves if we squeeze it to the fullest.
