Honor 6X, first impressions

We have approached the Honor stand within MWC 2017 to test the Honor 6X, the latest terminal presented by the brand and that has left us very good feelings. Without further ado, we leave you with the first video impressions with this smartphone.

Honor 6X

In the design section we are faced with a well-built phone. And, despite its tight price, the Honor 6X has a body made of aluminum which gives the phone a very premium look.

The feeling when holding the phone is nice enough. The phone sits very well in the hand, offering good sensations and demonstrating that a smartphone can have good finishes despite its reasonable price.

At first glance it is clear that the Honor 6X maintains the design line of all Huawei terminals. In this way we find the volume control keys and on / off the terminal on the right side.

These buttons have more than correct travel and resistance to pressure. On the left side is where the micro SD card slot and the nano SIM card, while at the bottom is where we will see the audio outputs and the device's charging port.

In short, a well-built phone that without great fanfare manages to stand out from its competitors with those premium finishes and that powerful 5.5 inch that invites you to enjoy multimedia content

Honor 6X

And is that one of the most attractive points of this Honor 6X comes in the section of the screen. The phone has a more than enough hardware to be able to move any game or application without major problems, especially the model with 4 GB of RAM, and the size of its front panel invites you to enjoy multimedia content or video games.

For this, the manufacturer has opted for a 5.5 inch IPS screen that reaches a 1080p resolution. This panel offers very vivid and sharp colors, with a perfect brightness level and more than correct viewing angles, which make this Honor 6X a very attractive option if you are looking for a phone with a large screen for less than 300 euros.

Additionally the Honor 6X has a fingerprint sensor located at the rear. I have not been able to test this biometric sensor at the Huawei stand but seeing how well the fingerprint readers work in all the brand's devices, it is most likely that the fingerprint sensor of this Honor 6X works like silk.

Honor 6X

And we can't forget about the Honor 6X camera. Or rather, its dual system that will allow us to take a series of photographs with an out-of-focus effect, or bokeh, which will delight photography lovers. Or the manual mode that has both the camera mode and the video mode in the Honor 6X and with which we can manually touch all the typical parameters in a professional camera, such as white balance or depth.

A device that has left me very good feelings after testing it at the MWC. Now we will have to wait for Honor to send us a test unit to be able to do a deeper analysis of this interesting mid-range Android smartphone.
