Telegram with the latest update has added news that are of great interest, among them is already the popular voice chat. Many people use this useful function in groups to connect directly without making a call with the application.
But one that has been overlooked is being able to use the SD card to store information, this is optional if you barely have space on your mobile device. Despite this, it is interesting to know how to handle it and that everything they share with you is copied onto that external card.
How to make Telegram save data to SD card
To this day, Telegram saves all the data in an unlimited way on its servers, but we have the images, videos and documents of each chat on our device to use it as a cache. The positive is that now we can transfer that data to an SD card and that it is not copied to the internal storage of the phone.
If you have an SD card inserted, you can configure the Telegram application to change the route and with it keep that copy on your phone. In our case we have used another device that has a card of this type to change the route so that everything goes to it by default.
To change the path and go to the SD card you have to do the following:
- The first and essential thing is to open the Telegram application on your phone
- Once open go to the three horizontal lines
- Click Settings and inside click on Data and storage
- Once Data and storage is open, it will show you the option "Storage path", click on it and choose the SD card so that everything goes to it by default
If you have not done it before, your phone's storage usually comes, everything so that you have those files that are so important to you. If you don't have an SD card, it is best to have one, once you insert it, you will be able to select it with the same previous steps.
Telegram with this takes a step forward to its high configuration, since it is one of the most configurable clients that exist today. If you want to restore it to internal storage, choose the other option that you had by default so that everything returns to the device again.
