Last year, the giant Google gave the Nexus smartphones a definitive folder, which were replaced by the new Pixel and Pixel XL and, despite some initial criticism, the reality is that they have been a notable success for the company wherever they are. He has put them up for sale.

Thus, for several months it has been rumored that Google is working on three new Pixel devices that would see the light in the last part of this year 2017. Now, at the gates of summer, we know something more about these new terminals, such as their code names or what could be manufactured by the South Korean company LG.

Google Pixel 2017, by LG

As is often the case with rumors and early leaks, nothing has been confirmed yet and the information can sometimes be somewhat contradictory. With this always in mind, yesterday it became known that Muskie, which could be the successor to the Pixel XL, could have been canceled, which leaves us, as in last year, with two Pixel devices in development for their always hypothetical launch at the end of this year.

These two Google Pixel models in development would respond to the codenames Walleye and Taimen, and in accordance with the speculation of the specialized digital medium 9to5Google, the largest of these devices, Taimen, will be built by LG.

As proof of this speculation, 9to5Google refers to a bug in Android Issue Tracker March, reported by an LG employee, who would test the South Korean manufacturer's relationship with the Taimen device. A Google employee requested that this error be moved to the thread: Android> Partner> External> LGE> Taimen> power, where "LGE" would correspond, always according to this publication, to "LG Electronics".

If this deduction turns out to be true, it would mean that the manufacturer of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 5X would return to manufacture at least one of Google's new devices, the successor to the Google Pixel XL in its 2017 edition. Meanwhile, The maker of the smaller Walleye model is expected to be HTC, as both companies would have signed a two-year contract at the time.
