Huawei has announced that its update EMUI 9 has started rolling out to some of its older flagships. These devices include the Mate 9 series, which is made up of the Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro and Mate 9 Porsche Design, which were originally launched with EMUI 5.0 based on Android Nougat.
The Mate 9 series was announced in 2016 and came with Nougat pre-installed. Later, they were updated to EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo, in 2017, and now you are getting the new update.

The EMUI 9.0 customization layer brings a host of new features. System performance has been improved and application startup times have been shortened. How to install EMUI 9 on the Huawei Mate 9
If you own any of these devices, all you have to do is go to the Huawei Services application, select the service and then update.
However, the update may not yet be available for download and installation. Remember that mobile manufacturers usually release updates via OTA gradually and, sometimes, very parsimoniously. Therefore, you will have to wait a few hours or days if you still do not have it in your corresponding model. Even so, is assured to reach all Mate 9 series devices.
