HTC Sensation Vs LG Optimus 2x

Not long ago we published separate reviews of the two terminals in which the characteristics of each one were evaluated separately. Now we will compare the two phones so that if there is still someone undecided, have a little more conviction to opt for one of these two monsters with Android. HTC Sensation Vs LG Optimus 2x. fight!

Comparing them externally, we talk about high-end terminals. The qualities of its finishes are very good. Both terminals opt for a clean, seamless front appearance. The screen digitizer extends to the keypad. The rear part is combined in both with plastic and metal part. While it is true that perhaps the HTC is more modern in terms of design and LG has something more serious with the metal band where you can read 'with GoogleTM'.

In terms of screens, the HTC Sensation is somewhat larger. 0.3 inches and a higher resolution make things look better. The Optimus 2x's screen is 800 × 600 TFT which compared to the Sensation's 960x540 pixel qHD LCD., I think in this case, the HTC comes out with an advantage. There are no noticeable differences when handling them, but without a doubt, the HTC is best viewed indoors and outdoors in lots of ambient light.

As for the cameras, there is not much difference. Both phones incorporate 8MPx sensors, although the HTC's flash is Double LED and LG's only 1 LED. They both have front camera although this time LG is ahead with 1.3Mpx in front of the HTC VGA camera. In terms of photographic quality, there is hardly any difference. Both are capable of recording video in FullHD 1080p that will make you enjoy the beauty when when you get home you play what was recorded on an external monitor.

As for the rest of the hardware, we will first compare the processor. Both incorporate dual-core processors, although the LG is a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra and the HTC is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm. They are leading processors although, the LG is more powerful. There is no difference in terms of processor performance when talking about dual-core and speed (yes when talking about OS). As to RAMPerhaps this is where the first big difference begins. The LG has so "only" 512MB of RAM (same RAM as the nexus One) and the Sensation goes up to 768Mb of RAM, 256MB more than sure that they are appreciated (although it has to work with HTC Sense 3.0). On the other hand the LG comes with 8Gb of internal memory, which will allow you to use part of this memory as storage. The HTC instead has 1Gb of internal memory, which will allow you to install enough applications to enjoy the phone. In this section of hardware, they are very even. Although the LG has a priori a better processor and more internal memory, the Sensation has a processor that stays very close and more RAM memory which allows it to have greater system fluidity.

La battery at both terminals is matched. Do not expect to work more than one business day (10-12h) with it, and if you spend the day checking Twitter or playing games, it will lose capacity. If you barely use the terminal, you may make it to the second day alive. All these gadgets are like that, charge when you go to bed to leave the house with 100% battery.

As to LG's operating system loses a lot. It stays with Android 2.2 Froyo versus Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 from the HTC Sensation. The Optimus 2x will be updated shortly, although I think it should go on the market with the latest in Android. Here is what LG did to be able to bring it to the market first and have the Guinness to the first dual-core phone on the market. As for the graphical environment, the LG has nothing to do. HTC with the Sense 3.0 has achieved an almost perfect graphical environment, which together with the power of the Sensation, will make you enjoy even consulting SMS.

In terms of performance, in both terminals you can obtain a desired power for your games or your idle times. You will have no problem moving the latest from Gameloft HD or EA. While it is true, that thanks to the processor, Optimus 2x scores higher on Quadrant Benchmark. Furthermore, the HDMI output (with cable included) from LG It will make you enjoy HD videos, games and whatever you want on your monitor. That is a very big point in favor of the LG, although the Sensation has the possibility of playback on an external monitor through the miniUSB connector, using an adapter that does not include and that I urge HTC to do so in order to earn a ton of points in their favor.

It is impossible for me to choose just one. The LG is more powerful a priori, but with less memory. But the Sensation is prettier, it has Sense, and the screen beats to the LG. If I could, I would make a hybrid of the Sensation, with the LG processor, the HDMI output and the internal memory. I would advise either one. In this case you will have to go to the offers of your operator to see which terminal is more affordable and which one you will choose.

I am kedo with my sensation. also in the benchmark tests the lg optimus 2x wins because the resolution of the screen is lower. and for examples the atrix, has the same precessor k as lg, and even has more ram memory (1 gb) and qhd resolution, and this makes the performance tests lower scores.

    I keep my SGS 2 ^^
in the benchmark it gets approx 2900 the first time it is run and approx 3500 the second time.

Apart from the 8 MPX camera, 1,2 GHz dual core, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal, SuperAmoled Plus screen ...

You abuse the expression "although" you should correct it.
    A greeting.

Uffff if I stay with the SGS 2 and the LG Optimus x2, what I think is incredible is the antenna gate again, but these HTC have not learned from Apple I do not want a mobile that loses coverage. Another thing that I do not like is its little internal memory when by default all have 8GB and this Sensation only has 1GB. And what I don't like is the short battery life less than 1 day.
    But there is also

But you have to see the price.
      HTC Sensation = € 600 Free
LG Optimus X2 = € 450 Free includes HDMI cable
Therefore my decision is LG waiting for its update to Android 2.3.4 which will be in July.
