It may happen that we need to disable the camera shooting sound of our recently acquired Galaxy S6 for a certain purpose, be it for example that we have to perform certain social media jobs.
As this shot sound is enabled by default for certain legal reasons, disabling it is not possible on certain phones, although as we are on Android there is always a solution or possibility, as we will teach today to do it on the brand new Galaxy S6, although this trick also works for other phones. Below you can find several ways, one without the need to be ROOT and the other with this privilege to modify system files on your Android phone.
There are several manufacturers such as HTC and Sony that allow you to disable the shutter sound of the camera from the application settings, but on the other hand, in others like Samsung and LG things are different. This has to do with the fact that Samsung and LG are Korean manufacturers and there are laws in that country to protect privacy.
How to turn off the sound without ROOT
The camera of the Galaxy S6 is right now one of the best on a mobile device, It is technically incredible and those of you who have one of these phones or have been lucky enough to try it, surely you will know how it is.
To be able to mute the sound of camera shooting we have an interesting option from an application called SilentCam Switch. We simply install it and agree to give the necessary permissions for the application to access the use of data so that it can deactivate the sound of the camera when it is going to take a capture. If you need this permission, it is so you can see if the camera app is active so that you can mute the sound.
- The first thing is to download the application from the widget that you will find below
- We launch the app
- Now we will see four options as four frames, we select the first one and we will have the app active
- Camera shutter sound will be off
It can turn off camera sound on other phones with this app and you can also access «Camera mute» to do the same. This app is developed by XDA Forums and can be downloaded from this link.
With ROOT
By being able to access the modification of system files, things get easier. If you have ROOT on your Galaxy S6 or another smartphone, you can visit the Play Store and access Ultimate Sound Control. This application allows to adjust the volume of notifications, calls, alarm and even the phone trigger. An interesting application for ROOT users that will keep your Galaxy S6 silent the moment you go to take a capture with its incredible camera.
You can access its download from the widget below. One of the several options that exist in the Play Store with which to perform the same task, although this app comes with the endorsement of belonging to an XDA Forums user.
Let's see, it hasn't occurred to you to put the phone on mute ... maaaadre mia¡¡¡ you don't have to be very clever
Yes of course haha but the thing is that you don't have to put it mute! 😛
I have installed the silentcam switch in a Korean Samsung galaxy s5 LTE Prime, and it does not work. It is that I am not root. And not even by silencing the phone you can remove the damn sound of the shutter.
