On September 15, Microsoft's cloud video game service, xCloud will be officially available to all Xbox Game Pass users. Nevertheless, if you want to be one of the first to try this serviceFrom today you can do it through the application in beta.
According to The Verge, as of today August 11, Microsoft will begin the official open tests for all those users who have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and download the Xbox Game Pass application available for free in the Play Store.
This application, like Google's Stadia, allows us to enjoy our favorite games available for both PC and Xbox directly on our smartphone. Not only is the Xbox controller compatible, but we can also use any controller or gamepad compatible with Android.
During this beta phase, xCloud offers more than 30 games, but as of September 15, when the service is officially launched, Microsoft will make more than 100 titles available to all users via Xbox Game Pass.
IPhone and iPad users will not be able to enjoy xCloud
Last week Apple announced that would not allow the launch of xCloud on iOS, since it does not comply with the guidelines set by the App Store. This is the same case that happens with Stadia, the other video game streaming service that will not be available on iOS devices either.
According to Apple, these types of services does not allow Apple to analyze the applications that are installed on the device. An absurd justification, since the applications of these services are not actually installed on the device, so you do not have to monitor them, but rather they run on Microsoft and Google servers.
Most likely, Apple is forced to change its mind, since the criticisms that are raining down for depriving iPhone and iPad users of this type of services are increasingly numerous, especially from the company's most unconditional fans.
