One of the doubts that arose with this new version of Gmail has been the Disappearance of the Delete button. When you open a new message, all you see are just the options to save, mark unread, and add a new folder.
In Google Play Gmail v4.5, "Archive and delete actions" were reset when the application has been installed. It is not known why Google did this, but from here we show you how you can reappear the "Delete" option.
Go to menu and then to settings. Then select General settings. You should see the option "Archive and delete", the first in the list. Give it and a menu will be displayed, you will see how the option "Show only archived" is activated, and from here select "Show archived and deleted" or "Show only deleted" and you the «Delete» icon will appear again when you open the messages.

An important note is that by selecting "Show only archived" or "Show archived and deleted", you will achieve that when you do an action with swipe (swipe to the right or left) it will only be possible to archive the message. Yes do you want to use the swipe to remove, you should only select "Show only deleted" from the menu mentioned above.
