Honor has already been working for several weeks on launching its own devices, all after it was sold to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. The first release is the Honor View 40, a high-end device with a lot of similarity to the Huawei P40 in terms of features.
Honor View 40, formerly known as Honor V40, it is a 5G phone with one of the most powerful chips from the manufacturer MediaTek released a few months ago. It offers a quite striking design and the panel is all curved type screen with a double front sensor.
Honor View 40, the first flagship after the sale
El Honor View 40 mounts a 6,72-inch OLED screen With a Full HD + resolution of 2.676 x 1.236 pixels, the refresh rate is 120 Hz with a touch refresh of 300 Hz. The ratio is 19.5: 9, it has HDR10 technology, a density of 440p and it is a curved panel as it happens in the Huawei P40 Pro.
Incorporates the processor Dimension 1000+ by MediaTek which provides you with enough power in addition to 5G connectivity, the graphics chip is Mali G77 with which to play all kinds of games. It mounts 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while in storage there are two options: 128 GB (in China) and 256 GB of type UFS 2.1.
Mounts a total of three sensors on the back, the main one is 50 megapixels, the second one is 8 megapixel wide angle and a third 2 MP macro, the fourth one is laser focus. The front camera consists of two sensors, the main one is 16 megapixels, while the second is an ambient light sensor.
Fast charging battery at high speed
Point to highlight is the battery, perhaps it is quite small, barely 4.000 mAh, the best thing is that it can be charged in just 25-30 minutes, since it is 66W. The wireless charging is 50W, enough to have it ready in just under 40 minutes and it comes with that double charge.
Honor will launch this model with a fairly small battery, seeing the autonomy expense of the phones, a 5.000 mAh as standard has been its thing, but it will be necessary to see it closely. At the moment the remarkable thing is that if we run out of battery we can charge it in a short time, less than 40 minutes.
Connectivity and operating system
Shines in connectivity, coming with the Dimensity 1000+ comes with a Dual 5G modemTo that, we add that if we do not want to use this we can bet on 4G / LTE. It also incorporates Wi-Fi in all its standards, Bluetooth, NFC, infrared and the USB-C port for battery charging in addition to the headphones that come.
The system is Android 10, it comes with the latest updates by the manufacturer, until the month of December and promises to update to Android 11 in the coming weeks. The layer is Magic UI 4.0 that we already know and that gives it a lot of improvement, they also say that they will renew the layer with the passage of Android 11.

Availability and price
El Honor View 40 5G arrives in a total of three colors different: Black, pink and blue, initially made in China. The price of the 8/128 GB model is 3.599 yuan (456 euros at the exchange rate) and the 8/256 GB model will be worth 3.999 yuan (506 euros). For now, the availability in Spain and other countries is unknown.
