Ya We discussed it a few weeks ago that Huawei was in talks with several companies that they were behind the purchase of Honor, its long-distance smartphone brand and that in this way wants to once again set foot in the United States and Europe with active Google Play.
According to Reuters claims, Huawei has agreed to the sale of Honor to a consortium of 30 agents. The buyers have announced that they are preparing a new company called Shenzen Zhixin New Information Technology to complete the Honor purchase.
Once the sale is complete, the Chinese brand Huawei will not have any of the shares in the new Honor brand. In this agreement it is includes all assets R&D, supply chain management and other goods of Honor. When it comes to the number of employees of the Honor brand, we are talking about 7.000 employees.
A joint statement by both brands as spokespersons for the more than 40 companies involved in the transaction, maintains that the sale has been produced to safeguard the supply chain honorary. After the change of ownership, Honor will continue with its regular production.
We already know problems for Huawei with the United States and Google and the impediment it has meant to continue developing its mobile device business. It is Honor who, in the second place, has been involved to find other owners and can continue with the development.
Honor will be able to continue developing great mid-range mobiles, while Huawei will follow his with the high-end and its business dedicated to corporations. Now we will have to see where the change of president in the United States is left and if at some point it can cause Huawei to use Google Play Services again.
